First : In the Field of Standards:
1- Finalizing the harmonization of all Egyptian standards (ES) previously issued since 1957 i.e. 5400 Egyptian standards.
2- Availability of Egyptian standards on the internet.
3- Covering all products whether produced locally or imported from abroad in the Egyptian standards so that the total number of ES reaches 8500 standards which is the double of ES issued until 2000.
4- Issuing 1000 ES annually which is tenfold of the rates till 2002 (100 standards per year)
5- Issuing ES in new areas i.e. communication, medical devices, railways, traffic, ships, tourism, organic food, barcode, consumer protection and services.
Second :In the Field of Quality:
1- Achieving an annual rise in the number of companies having international quality and environmental management systems in an average rate of 30% per year.
2- Realizing a rise in the number of companies obtaining the Egyptian quality mark in an average rate of 40% per year.
3- Reviewing the conformity and quality systems applied in Egyptian factories for 200 new factories so as the total number reaches 2200 factories in all fields along with achieving progress in quality systems in a rate of 55%.
4- Finalizing the accreditation of all EOS calibration labs.
5- International accreditation from UKAS for Textiles labs.
6- Promoting 70 of small-sized industrial establishments at 12 of random zones and incorporating them into the official sector.

Third:Labs testing:
-Conducting tests for materials, products and industrial commodities in (engineering industries – chemical and construction materials- food – textile)
- the field of training ,qualifying and technical consultancies:
- Providing training programmes in the fields of Standards, Quality, Measurements, Testing and Information Systems. Training programmes can be provided also according to the clients wish whether inside or outside EOS.
- Qualifying to obtain quality systems
- Providing technical consultancies on EOS activities and Enquiry Point regarding Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT).

Conducting measurements inside and outside EOS.
Fifth: Training:
Continual training and education are of great importance in the growth and assessment of different types of business, as they are considered a base for developing skills and capabilities of the employees working in organizations that performs administrative and technical processes, problems analysis and making decisions related to their work.
Realizing such importance of training, EOS provides various training programmes through Training Department.
Moreover, EOS welcomes receiving any enquiries about information and data related to seminars, training programmes and workshops organized by EOS with the participation of experts.
Also, EOS welcomes more proposals for any other training programmes (theoretical- practical) that suit your needs. EOS holds such programmes at EOS premises or at companies and factories premises.

EOS Information Center is responsible for the following:

· Databases for EOS services and making them available on the internet.
