International & Local Cooperation

EOS undertakes a broad cast activity on the international and regional levels. Moreover,
	EOS is a member in the following international and regional organizations, societies and federations:
		International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
		International Organization for Legal Metrology (OIML).
		African Regional Organization for Standardization (ARSO).
		Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization (AIDMO).
		European Organization for Quality (EOQ).
		International Measurement Confederation.( IMEKO)
		American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM International).
		European Committee for Standardization (CEN).
	In addition, EOS is a member in the following committees:
		International Committee for Legal Metrology (CIML).
		Committee on Developing Countries Matters (ISO/DEVCO)
		Committee on Consumer Policy (ISO/COPOLCO).
		Committee on Conformity Assessment (ISO/CASCO).
	Moreover, EOS is a member of the following:
		235 ISO Technical Committees.
		18 OIML Technical Committees.
		9 ARSO Technical Committees.
		3 CEN Technical Committees.
EOS also assumes the secretariat of 11 AIDMO technical committees. Since Egypt signed the WTO agreement in 1995, EOS became the Egyptian Enquiry Point for TBT agreement on standards, technical regulations and conformity assessment.

	Cooperation protocol between EOS and the Faculty of Engineering - Matarya – Helwan University, in the field of developing standards relevant to road vehicles and its components.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and the National Research Center in the field of achieving quality control principles in the labs of engineering, chemical, food, textile products and commodities.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and Asiout University in the field of conducting studies and researches relevant to quality control and conformity with approved standards in respect of Upper Egypt governorates.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (Productivity and Quality Institute – Alexandria).
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and the Faculty of Engineering – Cairo University in the field of developing standards relevant to electronic and engineering systems products.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and SGS in respect of the joint training courses in the field of management systems and holding seminars and workshops.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and the faculty of Engineering – Ain Shams University.
	Cooperation protocol between EOS and Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Company.
	Cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Industry and Technological Development and the Ministry of Communication and Information concerning the technological development and updating.
	Cooperation protocol between the Social Fund for Development , the Egyptian Commercial Representation , General Organization for the Exportation Development Center , Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality ( EOS) and the Training Center for the Ministry of Foreign Trade .
