Introduction
 

EOS, represented in the General Dept. for Technical Relations, undertakes the following tasks:

Following up the work of international and regional organizations as well as standards bodies concerned with standardization activities as well as conducting necessary studies concerning the issues relevant to the policy of these organizations.

 Taking the necessary arrangements for EOS participation in the international and regional conferences and meetings.
 Preparing the required arrangements for holding seminars and workshops in collaboration with the foreign bodies in Egypt.

Assisting the industrial establishments and the local bodies in obtaining copies of the international and foreign standards.

 Selling Egyptian standards and standards catalogues for the local bodies.
 Preparing statements with the latest issuance of international and foreign standards along with Egyptian standards.
 Organizing and following up missions and scholarships offered by foreign bodies.
 Providing the foreign bodies with the Egyptian standards.
 Offering the referential service for industrial and researching bodies along with universities students.

Taking the necessary measures for concluding and activating the bilateral memorandums of understanding relevant to standardization activities with the Arab and foreign countries.
