EOS, represented in the General Dept. for Technical Relations, undertakes the following tasks:
Following up the work of international and regional organizations as well as standards bodies concerned with standardization activities as well as conducting necessary studies concerning the issues relevant to the policy of these organizations.
Assisting the industrial establishments and the local bodies in obtaining copies of the international and foreign standards.
Taking the necessary measures for concluding and activating the bilateral memorandums of understanding relevant to standardization activities with the Arab and foreign countries.
