Samples Department is EOS front, in charge of  receiving customers applying for calibrating their equipment .Metrology process can be carried out inside the labs of the General Department for Industrial Metrology or outside at work plants where the customer wishes the calibration to be carried out .

The client submits an application in the name of his affiliated body, where he should register the following data:

Apparatus name

Apparatus number (of the same type)

The required extent for metrology

Apparatus uses

• Samples Department addresses the General Department for Industrial Metrology according to a model to know the possibility for calibration.

• The General Department for Industrial Measurement and Metrology replies to the model comprising the possibility for calibration and the required costs (prices for calibrating equipment) along with the expiry date from calibration.

          Calibration fees are stated in labs tables

Samples Department prepares an estimation model to collect the required fees according to the following regulations:

Writing down a model for collecting fees so as the client can pay the fees directly to EOS treasury and delivering a photocopy of payment bill to Samples Department.

In case of bodies having credits at EOS, a model for collecting fees is directed to EOS Accounting Department to deduct the sum indicated in the model from the client retrocession.

In case of equipment that is calibrated outside EOS, the applicant body bears the transport charges of the specialized officials and equipment and returning them to EOS premises (if necessary).

Calibration fees are collected according to EOS council resolution.
