Dr. Mahmoud Eisa, EOS President, paied a visit to Turkey during the period 14-22 August, 2008. During his visit, Dr. Eisa will conclude MOU between the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) and the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE) with the purpose of enhancing trade between the 2 countries.
Dr. Eisa visited as well SGS Labs in Turkey aiming at discussing the cooperation possibilities to achieve the harmonization requirements with the European legislations in the field of conformity systems relevant to construction Materials.

Under the auspices of H.E. the Minister of Trade and Industry, the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS), in coordination with the Egyptian-American Chamber, organized a Standards Conference on Tuesday 3rd of June, 2008. The Conference will be attended by an American delegation under the chairmanship of the President and CEO of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) along with H.E. the American Ambassador in Cairo.
During the Conference, a Memorandum of Understanding between EOS and ANSI has signed. Moreover, the topic of harmonizing Egyptian and American standards will be discussed.
