1- Objectives:
- The importance of EOS Library is represented in being
 a specialized library providing service for all bodies concerned with standards in Egypt.
- EOS library includes most of standards issued by international and regional organizations and their National Standards Bodies (NSBs) along with catalogues, magazines, brochures and publications issued by these NSBs.
- The library includes a complete set of Egyptian standards and the relevant catalogues in all sectors issued by EOS.
- It includes as well a great number of scientific and technical books, dictionaries and references.
2- Activities:
- Assisting the customers visiting the library in research and retrieval processes in respect of foreign and international standards issued in various fields. 
- Assisting EOS employees in researching and acquainting with standardization activities.
- Assisting students and postgraduates in research and acquaintance.
3- Mechanization of Work System:

- Mechanizing work process at the library (borrowing, returning and an index for the names and data of borrowers and visitors to
 the library).
- Developing a complete data base including international, foreign, Arab and Egyptian standards along with scientific books.
Electronic mechanization for the library has been finalized using
 an electronic program i.e. Book Master.
