In collaboration with Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport, EOS will organize an international conference on "Standards in Response to Global Challenges: Climate Change, Energy, Water and Nutrition" during the period 24-25 November, 2008, at Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The conference will be inaugurated by a number of the Top State Officials and will be attended also by Mr. Alan Bryden, ISO Secretary General, Mr. Joe Bhatia, ANSI President and CEO, Mr. Olivier Peyrat, AFNOR Director General, Dr. Torsten Bahke, DIN Director as well as Dr. Zekeriya Mizirak, TSE Secretary General.

During the conference, Mr. Alan Bryden will make a presentation entitled "International Standards for Sustainable Development: The Contributions of ISO".

EOS has invited many of the regional and international organizations to present researches or working papers related to the theme of this important event with the purpose of enriching it.
