The Quality Control Centre was established in 1979 and joined to EOS to carry out inspection and testing activities for a vast group of industrial products, besides carrying out the necessary industrial metrology to ensure the accuracy of industrial measurements .EOS includes a large number of labs in different fields i.e., engineering, chemical, food industries, and textile and construction materials.

The most important main activities of testing labs are:

Connecting testing equipment of secondary labs with automatic systems to ensure conducting tests automatically along with collecting and keeping tests' results to neutralize all errors' sources during the stages of conducting tests.

Connecting labs with EOS network so as to circulate the situation and results of tests to different EOS sections and departments in a framework that maintains the secrecy of these results.

Providing training for the technical personnel at labs on the modern technologies specialized in conducting information systems and their applications.

Each general department comprises a group of specialized labs conducting the required tests for EOS activities whether needed for developing standards or applying quality and conformity marks systems or upon the request of companies, others from importers or exporters or different control authorities.
